History
The area around Teluk Intan was originally populated by refugees from the Malacca Sultanate who were part of the entourage of the Raja Muzaffar Shah, the eldest son of the last Sultan of Melaka, Sultan Mahmud Shah. Upon fleeing the Portuguese conquest of Melaka in 1511, a new kingdom was established on the banks of the Perak River near what is now Teluk Intan, and the court remained there until its relocation to Kuala Kangsar in the northern part of the state later in the 19th century. This legacy can be seen in the choice of Teluk Intan as the location where the official residences of the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) and Raja di Hilir (4th in line of succession to the Perak throne) of Perak under the reign of Sultan Idris Shah. The town is one of four towns that play a role in Perak's complex ruler succession system. According to the system, a crown prince stayed at Teluk Intan Palace before entering the next stage of becoming Raja Bendahara (Prime Prince). Only after becoming Raja Bendahara will he proceed to be Raja Muda (Crown Prince) and then Sultan of Perak.
This succession system was changed by the present Sultan, Sultan Azlan Shah just before he was appointed the Yang Dipertuan Agong. His son is now Raja Muda and does not live in Teluk Intan. The former palace is located just outside the town, and has fallen into disrepair.
The town of Teluk Intan developed around a few small villages in the location, such as Durian Sebatang, Pasir Bedamar, and Batak Rabit. A plan to build a township linking the few villages was drawn up by Sir Archibald Anson during the late 19th century, and the township was named after him in 1882. Teluk Intan developed into a port, and many agricultural products and tin were exported from it. The fourth railway track in Malaya was built connecting Tapah and Teluk Intan, showing the port town's importance during the British protectorate age.
Teluk Intan was also home to the meeting between Raja Abdullah, Dato' Maharajalela and other Malay chieftains who plotted to kill J. W. W. Birch, the first British Resident of Perak. The meeting was held in Durian Sebatang. Birch was later killed in Pasir Salak while bathing in the river.
The last major engagement during the Malayan Emergency was fought in the marshes near Teluk Intan in 1958, and ended with the surrender of the local Malayan Races Liberation Army forces to government forces.
By the early 1980s the town was the third largest town in Perak. Teluk Intan served as the major administrative and business settlement for smaller neighbouring towns such as Tapah, Bidor, Bagan Datoh and Hutan Melintang. Until the mid 1990's Sabak Bernam, a town in the neighbouring state of Selangor, also dependeded on Teluk Intan for most of their basic services. Even their telephone area code was registered using Perak's area code of +605 instead of +603 that is used in Selangor. Acute medical cases would be transferred to Teluk Intan District Hospital as their hospital did not have the equipment or expertise.
As the Perak River became shallower each year due to upstream erosion and silt deposition near Teluk Intan, the town lost its two most important roles in Perak's economy which was being an export harbour for tin and rubber and as a petroleum distribution centre for Shell Malaysia. This is because big oil tankers and cargo ships were no longer able to sail into the town's port. By the end of the 1980s, Shell Malaysia transferred their petroleum storing facilities to the coastal town of Lumut in Manjung, located 60 km from Teluk Intan. As the economic activity declined, it also lost its railway facilities which connected the town with Tapah and the national railway network.
During the 1990s, economic activities in Teluk Intan continued to decline. This situation forced the younger generation to migrate to bigger cities such as Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Klang and Shah Alam in search of better jobs. Ironically this caused the town to suffer a shortage in labour supply especially in the agriculture sector, resulting in an increase of migrant workers from Indonesia and Bangladesh.
With the development of a new town centre along with the completion of new coastal highway from Klang to Sabak Bernam in late 1999, Teluk Intan began to enjoy a resurgence in its economic activity. In April 2004, the town was made the fourth municipality (having upgraded to Municipal Council status, or Majlis Perbandaran) in Perak after Ipoh, Taiping and Manjung.

ponteng sekolah tapi nak masuk universiti...
Sedih dengar anak melayu kita. Tapi tulah apa yang selalu saya dengar rintihan anak melayu terutama bila ramai kawan2 mereka masuk Universiti atau Kolej tapi dia dah terpaksa bekerja sebab tak diterima masuk mana2 IPTA..rasanya kalau kolej swasta atau IPTS tu tak susah nak masuk yang penting ada $$$$ kan? hmmm..bukan nak kata kat sape2, tapi hakikat yang saya dengar dari zaman sekolah dulu lagi.
“Saya nak masuk ATMA (sekarang UPNM) tapi tak dapat masuk sebab add math G, yerlah tingkatan 4 satu kelas pun saya tak masuk sebab PONTENG”
Perghhh pengakuan jujur seorang jurujual kat sebuah kafe yang saya sedang online sekarang ni. Oleh kerana berhawa dingin dan bertutup dengan kaca, apa mereka bualkan jelas saya dengar. Lepas tu dia cakap bapak dia kerja Navy atau Pegawai Tentera Laut, so ingat senanglah nak masuk ATMA, padahal tak semudah tu. Anak pegawai pun kalau syarat kemasukan tak lepas, takkan diorang nak bagi masuk.
Rasanya budak ni baru habis belajar dan masing2 bercerita latar belakang. Semuanya bersekolah kat Selangor ni dan semuanya melayu. SEDIH..SEDIH dan SEDIH.. Rasanya saya dulu pun ada jugak ponteng kelas sikit2 (hehehe..) tapi takdelah sampai satu hari, biasanya 1-2 kelas je terutama kelas sejarah..tu dapat SPM Sejarah 5C tapi subjek lain alhamdulillah (sebab tak pernah ponteng)..
Dulu nak ponteng sekolah punyalah takut.
TAPI SEKARANG??
Dah 2-3 kali saya terserempak ngan pelajar lompat pagar.
Ingatlah mak bapak kita yang susah cari duit tu. Walaupun duit mak bapak tu banyak, jangan selesa sangat sebab rezeki tu tuhan boleh tarik kejap je..Kepada ibu bapa (nasihat kat diri sendiri jugak ni), sama2lah kita nasihat dan jaga anak kita..Insyallah kita mampu mengubahnya.
Better Late Than Never
Insyaalah..dimana ade kemahuan, di situ ade kejayaan

pasal kampung boy.....
The book made Lat an international figure and a highly regarded cartoonist in Malaysia. It won several awards when released as Kampung Boy in the United States, such as Outstanding International Book for 2007 and the Children's Book Council and Booklist Editor's Choice for 2006. The Kampung Boy became a franchise; the characters of The Kampung Boy decorated calendars, stamps, and aeroplanes—promoting products and ideals. A Malaysian theme park is planned to open in 2012 with the fictional characters as part of its attractions. The Kampung Boy is very popular in Southeast Asia and has gone through its sixteenth reprint. A sequel, Town Boy, which followed the protagonist in his teenage years in the city, followed in 1981 and a spin-off, Kampung Boy: Yesterday and Today, was published in 1993. The latter book reused the setting of The Kampung Boy for its comparisons and contrasts of the differences between Malaysian childhood experiences in the 1950s and 1980s.

Pelihara Bumi Kita........
I remember my first glimpse of her face,
I saw you smile, then I smiled
I was straight blown away
Mesmerized by your beauty, from your feet to your hands
How could one be so beautiful?
I don't understand
Heaven sent, God's gift without a doubt in my mind
Sometimes I wonder why our paths decided to collide
We started off as perfect strangers
Boy meets girl, infatuation to love
Now you're my whole entire world
Destiny taps me on the back, saying hello
But really it was your touch
No and I'll never let you go
Then you spoke, I never heard a voice so sweet
Heavenly,
And from her words, man, I knew this girl was deep
Just like me
With times to worry and times to play
We'll sit and stress over life or just burn the day away
I know fosho' in our past life, we had to be friends
Livin' and dyin' together
Knowin' that we would meet again
It's just a blessing to have you in my life
I was destined to be with you
My privilege, so amazing, no question
And I'm knowin', soon enough we'll get where we're goin'
Just thinking about it, I can feel my heart growing
Am I trippin'?
Or is it that I finally see?
I don't know, but my heart is saying that you're the one for me
Please believe me, I'm exactly where I wanna be
This rhyme is written from my heart to you,
Sincerely
And I, lose control, can never turn aside
You shine like summer skies, like when a lover lies next to me and says to me
You make me wonder why
You are a beautiful mystery
Every note carved into musical history
A simile, a metaphor, words not enough to entrust to you,
Trust that it's true
We must have clue, but we asked for evidence
Dwell on passing sentiments, though we bask in eminence
Every moment, every day,
Busy getting paid away,
The soul fades away into a grainy shade of grey
I pray, that you'll listen to what I say,
Cause I feel like a missing shoe
This is to everything that you are,
The wild earth, a child's birth, sun, moon, and the stars
Check it out
So I ask, "What would I be without You?"
Like Stevie without Wonder,
Hunger without food
A sheep without a shepherd,
Asleep without Your message
That despite the skeptics, in the end You were true
And I knew, that there was more to life
And I grew, livin' for the light
I took my answers, combined them with Yours
It made life exciting, but it closed some doors
Word to Christ,
My life accelerated and deflated
Sunk to the bottom, then elevated till I made it
But You always had my back though
When kids threw rocks at me, I'm on stage rappin' still
I see kids without love
It brings tears to my soul
But why, they always dry up
The world's gone bonkers
You conquered fear
And as long as I believe
You're the reason I'm here

tentang hang tuah......
Hang Tuah became the Sultan's constant aide, accompanying the King on official visits to foreign countries. On one such visit to Majapahit, Taming Sari, a famous Majapahit warrior, challenged Hang Tuah to a duel. After a brutal fight, Hang Tuah emerged as winner and the ruler of Majapahit bestowed upon him Taming Sari’s kris or weapon. The Taming Sari kris was named after its original owner, and was purported to be magical, empowering its owner with invincibility. It is said to be the source of Hang Tuah’s alleged supernatural abilities.
Hang Tuah also acted as the Sultan's ambassador, travelling on his Sultan's behalf to allied countries. Another story concerning Hang Tuah's legendary loyalty to the Sultan is found in the Hikayat Hang Tuah, and involves his visit to Inderaputra or Pahang during one such voyage. The Sultan sent Hang Tuah to Pahang with the task of persuading the princess Tun Teja, who was already engaged, to become the Sultan's companion. Tun Teja fell under the impression that Hang Tuah had come to persuade her to marry him, not the Sultan, and agreed to elope with him to Melaka. It was only during the voyage home that Hang Tuah revealed his deception to Tun Teja.
The Hikayat Hang Tuah and Sejarah Melayu each carry different accounts of this incident, however. The Hikayat records that it was Hang Tuah who persuaded Tun Teja to elope with him, thus deceiving her. Sejarah Melayu, however, claims that it was another warrior, Hang Nadim, who deceived Tun Teja.
Perhaps the most famous story in which Hang Tuah is involved is his fight with his closest childhood companion, Hang Jebat. Hang Tuah's deep loyalty to and popularity with the Sultan led to rumours being circulated that Hang Tuah was having an illicit affair with one of the Sultan's stewardess dayang. The Sultan sentenced Hang Tuah to death without trial for the alleged offense. The death sentence was never carried out, however, because Hang Tuah's executioner, the Bendahara, went against the Sultan’s orders and hid Hang Tuah in a remote region of Melaka.
Believing that Hang Tuah was dead, murdered unjustly by the Sultan he served, Hang Jebat avenged his friend's death. Hang Jebat's revenge allegedly became a palace killing spree or furious rebellion against the Sultan (sources differ as to what actually occurred). It remains consistent, however, that Hang Jebat wreaked havoc onto the royal court, and the Sultan was unable to stop him, as none of the Sultan's warriors dared to challenge the more ferocious and skilled Hang Jebat. The Bendahara then informed the Sultan that the only man able to stop Hang Jebat, Hang Tuah, was still alive. The Bendahara recalled Hang Tuah from his hiding place and the warrior was given full amnesty by the Sultan and instructed to kill Hang Jebat. After seven gruelling days of fighting, Hang Tuah was able to kill Hang Jebat.
